How do I hide/delete prior purchased TV programs I do not want shown in my iTV

Nope. Went to iPad iTunes and there is no 'x' over the show I want to 'hide'. I went to iPhone to TVapp and there is no 'x' over the show I want to 'hide'.
Apple is not easy or intuitive as Tim/Steve pitch.
on Mac. on Apple TVapp. No 'purchased' items despite on AppleTV (TV set) I see Purchased "Shows" (which I want to hide)

"How to hide music, movies, and TV shows" is in error by suggesting the latter two options may manage "TV Shows".

Your Mac will have either of these apps, but not both. macOS Catalina or later will have the TV app. macOS Mojave or earlier will have the iTunes application.
Sign in to the app (menu Account) to access your personal TV Show purchases.
Like it says in the support document linked above, to hide movies or TV shows, use your Mac or PC. These actions are not supported for movies or TV shows on iPad or iPhone.

however, on AppleTV on my TV set I see TV Shows I purchased (which I want to 'hide').
