MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) screen problem

I cannot open my laptop screen past 65 degrees as it first dims and then goes black. I can only use this macbook with an external monitor/screen. Is this problem repairable ?

Hey there, soditsa.

We understand that your display to your MacBook Pro isn't working properly, as it will dim and then turn black after it has been opened more than 65 degrees. To confirm, does this issue happen before you log in to your user and also happen when your MacBook Pro is in macOS Recovery mode? About macOS Recovery

If yes, then this is a hardware issue and a technician would need to examine your MacBook Pro to determine what might be going on and if it can be repaired. In certain countries or regions, you can read more about Mac service here: Mac Service and Repair If you have any further questions about service, you can contact Apple Support for further assistance here: Contact Apple Support

Take care.
