Big Sur upgrade frozen at 1 minute

Mac Book Air 2013 mid upgrading to Big Sur from High Sierra and frozen at 1 minute remaining.......

Have rebooted by holding down power button, reinstalls for 29 minutes and froze again.

Rebooted holding option key, and 2 hard drives showed; Mac Installer And Mac HD. Clicked on Mac HD and tried to boot and got a circle with a slash thru it on a black Screen.

Any ideas?

Shutdown via Power Button. Disconnect any external drives. Connect to charger. Restart and Immediately hold - Shift -. This will startup in Safe Mode. It will attempt to do a Repair Disk, Clear Cache files and Only load Apple Software and Fonts. It will boot slowly - Normal. Doing this may or may not allow the Big Sur Installation to complete. If it does work - the Big Sur Setup Assist will be presented.
