Junk mail sort order

I can no longer find how to set the sort order for the mails in a given mailbox in the MacOS mail tool. In Mail - Preferences - Viewing, I have the box checked for "Show Most Recent Message at the Top". That works for my Inbox, but the Gmail Junk mailbox is sorted in reverse order, with the newest emails at the bottom. The only option the "Filter" button gives me seems to be to filter read versus all messages. I can't find any "Sort By" option. Here's what my mail screen looks like (I just emptied all the Junk).

Any suggestions? TIA

Howdy,

If your mail is not sorted in the order you prefer, try the menu item for Mail: View > Sort By, and in your case, Date and Newest Message on Top.

Have your Gmail Junk mailbox selected when you do this. When I tested, this is mailbox specific. You can have different sort options for each mailbox.

Take care,

ivan
