ipod touch 4th generation - icloud login issues

Hi all, I found my old iPod touch (4th Generation) and thought I'd use it again. I reset it and have found I can't now log in to my iCloud account as I have 2 factor authentication running; I get the 6-digit code on my other devices when I try to log in, but the ipod doesn't display the number pad to put the code in - it just says "enter the code" with OK.

It doesn't look like I can turn off 2-factor authentication either as that's greyed out in my account management page. Does this mean I am forever unable to log into my iCloud account on my touch?

To sign in with 2 factor authorization, just add the sent code after the password. So if password=pass and code = 110011, just enter pass110011
