how to update the latest macOS Big Sur

As @Niel mentions no Big Sur for this machine though Catalina is an option.


If going this route - How to get old versions of macOS. Just be certain to use Safari as Others may not work.

Notations - make a Time Machine Backup Before attempting the upGrade.


Also, Catalina does Not Support anything 32 bit and there is no workaround for this. To check for 32 bit application already installed - one can safely use Go64 to scan and identify the 32 bit application and prepare them for upgrades to 64 bit or remove and find new 64 but applications to replace the old ones.
