sound out of sink with apple TV

After downloading a film over the internet I then played it through Apple TV but the sound keeps going out of sink and if I stop and restart the film where I left off it’s OK for about two minutes then it goes back out of sink.

Apple TV is a streaming device, no media is downloaded. Buffering or lagging can often be associated with a poor connection

Check the speedtest app to see the current internet connection

To check the local network get a report on your computer using istumbler, netstumbler or similar. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks

If on wifi try ethernet
