I purchased a new iPhone and I need all my data transferred to new phone; contacts transferred, msg, apps did not. Store clerk supposedly made the transfer

Stay connected to the internet and continue using the iPhone. Depending on the internet speed all apps will get downloaded from the App Store automatically. Apps don't transfer from iPhone to iPhone, only the app data along with app links to the App Store gets transferred.

How do I get my WhatsApp data without paying extra from an old android device to my new iPhone?… if I check online I get options like dr.fone which is not helping me as I needed to do the transfer once.

First, make sure they are in iCloud. Log in to https://icloud.com and click on Notes. If they are, on the phone go to Settings/[yourname]/iCloud and turn on the switch for Notes, then wait for it to sync; ideally connected to Wi-Fi and plugged in.

If they are not in iCloud they were not synced from the old phone to iCloud.

You cannot transfer WhatsApp conversations from Android to iPhones. It’s a limitation imposed by WhatsApp.
