Indeed, that is the same for every computer regarding iTunes Store content. When you authorize your Mac or PC, you give it permission to access your music, movies, and other content.

Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

You can authorize/deauthorize from the Account menu of the TV app (or Music app, or Books app).
