What to use in the place of Adobe Flash Player

Now that Adobe Flash is no longer available, am I compelled to subscribe to Adobe Pro or is there a system that already works with OS?

In most cases no replacement is needed. Adobe announced years ago that it was to be discontinued and developers switched to HTML5 long ago.
