Shutdown computer and disconnect external drives. Plug into charger and restart AND Immediately hold Command + r keys. Look top menu for Utilities and Terminal. Type resetpassword ( one word and no spaces ) and hit the Return key. Follow the prompts and remember the New Password for the Computer as it will be needed on next restart.
