My mac pro says No updates available

My macpro won’t update. It says no updates available. I’m on Yosemite.

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which Mac model you have, click on El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur.

It sounds like you are wanting to upgrade your Mac, not update it. it is important to understand the differences. An update is a download that installs a newer version of your current operating system, in this case, Yosemite. An upgrade is when a newer operating system is installed. Because they are not the same thing, they may not be available to you in the same way. Upgrades must often be accessed via a specific download link, such as those in the other posting. Some of them can also be found at the Apple app store.
