How to transfer files from iMac photos to iCloud?

Thanks or answering my question - I was trying to search for topics and it posted as a question, so the grammar is poor! Two things I'm trying to figure out with photos and iCloud:

1) How to upload/transfer all my photos in my Mac to iCloud. When I travel, I take photos with my iPhone and a digital camera. The iPhone photos are automatically uploaded into iCloud, but the camera shots have to be downloaded to my Mac first. I'll take a look at the links you sent to see how to get the camera shots into iCloud as well.


2) How to set up my families devices to upload their photos to iCloud. I have family sharing set up, but only my iPhone photos are downloaded into iCloud. None of the photos from the rest of family are there.
