iMac G5 (2005)

I have an iMac G5 (2005) that I am trying to clear and donate. I don't remember the password. How can I reset the administrator password?

Before selling or giving away a Mac you should perform the steps in this Apple article:

When erasing the hard drive I recommend you use the "Advanced" or "Security Options" option to write a single pass of zeroes to the drive to destroy acess to all your personal data on the hard drive. This article has a general guide for doing this although older versions of macOS may be slightly different.
