My iPhone XR doesn't allow me to attach pictures directly from Camera Roll to Apps (Eg. iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.) using the "share" button. But while using iMessage or WhatsApp, I am able to access the Camera Roll and attach pictures. Any clue why it doesnt work directly from camera roll?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're not able to share a photo from the Photos app to some apps, but can if you're using the app itself. If you haven't already, restart your iPhone as restarting can resolve many odd issues: Restart your iPhone
Also be sure your software and apps are updated. If updates are needed, back up your iPhone first:

How to manually update apps on your Apple device

I have the same issue, I tried restarting the IPhone but it still does it. Any other suggestion?

I confirm that my phone has the latest iOS and I restarted it a few times. The issue still persists.
