Apple Watch OS 7.5 stuck on downloading to watch for hours

I have tried to update my Apple Watch 3 to the newest OS when doing so, it prompted me to first update phon OS which I did. After that it would not let me update my watch and asked me to unpair and then pair again, when I did that it prompted me to update to newest watch OS however, it is now stuck on "downloading to watch" at 1gb and not moving for hours. The watch is displaying that first "image" when you try to pair the watch with the phone (kinda like a mandala with the apple logo in the middle) where do I go from here?

The apple watch 3 GPS only has only 8GB of internal storage, most of that is

taken up by the operating system and other critical software.So installing to

an ios14 phone is nearly impossible,if you can find a phone with ios12 or 13

and pair the watch and update it with that then unpair and you can re-pair it to

your ios14 phone.
