I just got a MacBook and made my own Apple ID separate from my parents. My phone is still on my parents Apple ID and I would like to switch it over to my new Apple ID. Is there a way I can do that without loosing anything on my phone?

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. There is no way to merge two Apple ID's, however you can share apps, purchases, and more by using Family Sharing.
Remember, any apps installed using an Apple ID must be updated on the same Apple ID, otherwise, you will need to uninstall the app and reinstall it to continue to receive updates.
