Hi, I deleted two songs that I had in a created playlist…the two songs was also removed from the entire library of songs…how can I retrieve the songs deleted from the entire download/purchase library? Will appreciate your help…thanks.

The quickest way is to look on your computer, including the Trash/Recycle. if you find the files, re-add them to your library.

If the songs were originally purchased from the iTunes Store, you can usually download fresh copies at no charge by this procedure:

I had the same thing happen. Brand new phone running IOS 14.5.1. I was building new playlists and swiped to remove a couple songs, then changed my mind. Couldn’t find them on my device so I figured I’d removed them from my library and went to iTunes purchases to re-download. They’d disappeared from my purchases as well. When I found them in the store it said I had to pay for them again. I thought maybe it was one of those deals where you press pay then they say you’ve already purchased would you like it for free, but nope. All front line customer support could come up with is they were hidden, but that’s not the case.

Ok, I was wrong, they were hidden. Apparently a hidden song will totally let you buy them again. To reach them on your phone go to the iTunes store, and on the main page scroll all the way to the bottom where it shows your Apple ID. Clicking on that will take you to your purchases, including the hidden ones. I have a lot of music so it’s easy to not realize a song is gone, but I was amazed at how many songs I had accidentally sent to the black hole of the hidden file. Just click on unhide and you should be good to go.

After going through the tedious process of downloading each hidden song and then pressing the button to unhide it I now have all my music on my phone and working, and the store no longer insists I buy it again. Huzzah! BUT, when I scan the normal, easily accessible purchased song list the hidden ones still aren’t there. As for the same song that I bought twice, both downloads are now in my library right next to each other.

I have very little space my old Mac. ( Most of it taken up with old email that I have corridoned off and do not have two days to get rid of right now) But Lots of space is taken up by music which is also on my iPhone. I never play it or movies on my Mac. Can I get it off of my MAC and acquire the space back but keep it on my iPhone or keep access to it on my iPhone? If so how?

What about if a playlist is deleted in AppleMusic by mistake? Is there a way to bring it back? Thanks.
