Purchased movies - stream from Internet or from downloaded copy on home library

I have the previous Generation Apple TV 4K (64GB) and have purchased several movies from the iTunes store.

I know the ATV doesn't download the movies as such, just streams (although there is a cache of sorts). However, I was wondering if, instead of streaming some of these larger 4K HDR movies from the Internet (and potentially tying up my connection), it would be better to download them to my library on my Mac, then access them from the ATV via home sharing.

Is this a valid option, and are there any gotchas?

Yes, that would work, but the downloaded files of iTunes Store content would not be in 4K HDR (but in HD instead). 4K content is streaming-only.
