Recovering notes

I naught a new iPad and I logged in with my phones iCloud email, but do not want all of my phones data on my iPad. So I simply deleted things from my iPad… went on my phone and they were gone from there too.. how do I recover my notes?

Look in the recently deleted album in the Notes app and you can recover them from there. Bear in mind that if you sync Notes with iCloud and you are signed into the same Apple ID and iCloud account on both devices, whatever you do with regard to the notes will be reflected on the other device.

What you can do is start creating the notes on the iPad in the On my iPad folder rather than using the iCloud folder. Those notes will then be included in your backups.
