Imported CDs not to be found in external hard drive where music is kept

I have imported several CDs today and when I open Music, they are there and they play just fine. However, when I go to my external hard drive where my library is kept, they are not to be found.

I have tried consolidating, rebooting, updating MacOS, etc.

I need to use these imports in another app. Music I bought via iTunes a few years ago is on the hard drive in album folders.

How do I find my newly imported albums?

Geoff,

If they are in your library and they play, right-click the name and choose Show in Finder. You will see where they are.

The ripping process puts the audio files into the Music Media folder that you have specified in Music Preferences > Files. Make sure it is set correctly.
