'Other' takes up 52 GB of storage

I am constantly running out of storage on my Macbook Pro. The 'Other' category is taking up 52 GB of storage, and I don't know how to clear it. Completely reset my computer a few months ago to try to solve this issue, but its happened again. I run adobe programs on my computer for work, if that matters. I've followed every step suggested to clear space, but I don't know what to do. I barely have anything saved on my computer anymore, mostly applications. Everything else is saved to an external hard drive. I'm running Big Sur version 11.3, my computer is a 2017, 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB. Please someone help.

Several support articles cover the general idea of management of stored &/or obsoleted files.

Most of these items are generalized as Other ~ and there is no single folder to hold all these.

Ideas out there have included obscure to more obvious things to try. Some resolve nothing.

Have good backups on quality external drives; in addition to macOS own Time Machine. (Incl. clones.)

Be sure to Empty the Trash to recover the space.

Replace the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.

Use OmniDiskSweeper or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

Avoid 'cleaners' that can mess up the automatic file management in macOS. 'CleanMyMac

and mackeeper' etc, are ones to avoid; their promises amount to shallow marketing tactics.

121 GB hard drive (SSD) is the tiniest drive you could buy....

If you keep running into storage issue might consider, external storage option

or trade the Mac in for one that suits you better.
