How can I upgrade the IOS on my older MAC desktop computer.Currently no updates are listed in the ApStore and the last update I did was to the

Never mind. I have discovered that there was never enough space on my iMAC to handle the update to the macOS Big Sur.

The last update I did for my iMAC desktop computer was to the macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 however I've heard there is a newer OS and don't know how to update my system to the newest version. There aren't any available updates showing in the App Store. Does anyone know of a site, or link from Apple that I can use to update my system?

Wether you can update to the current macOS 11 Big Sur will depend on your exact model of Mac.

Big Sur can be found in the Mac App Store if you search for it:

Tapping on the get Button, will tell you if it's not compatible with your Mac or start the download if it is.

If its not, you may still be able to update to a slightly older version, 10.15 Catalina, from here: link-> How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support

You've not shared the sub-model of your iMac, and every OS upgrade path is wholly dependent on WHEN the Mac was introduced. "About this Mac" shows the sub-model with the year:

Your iMac MUST be 2012 or newer to upgrade past macOS 10.13 "High Sierra."
