13" mid 2011, MacBook Air and have Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.6.

I have an old 13" mid 2011 MacBook Air that uses MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. I need to download software updates but unfortunately, to do so I need to upgrade. Can you tell me how I can accomplish this?

Thank you in advance,

Maureen Callaghan

Hello, Maureen.

Unfortunately, your 2011 13" MacBook Air is currently running the newest OS that it can; 10.13 High Sierra.

There is no macOS upgrade path left to follow for that Mac.

If you have software needs that require macOS Mojave, Catalina or Big Sur, then you will have to replace your MacBook with a newer model.
