My MacBook Pro does not recognise my camera

Does anyone else have a problem with their camera on MacBook Pro? I purchased my computer few years ago and did not need camera until recently (due to Covid 19). I installed a zoom application and could not turn on my camera. Later, I conducted bit of an investigation of my system and my computer can not recognise any camera hardware despite my computer having a camera lens on above the screen. Apparently, every macbook pro with touch tab is equipped with the internal camera as well. Does anyone know how to activate the camera of fix this problem?
