When I change between lossless and high quality my most recent downloads only play for 10 seconds when I don’t use data or WiFi

It’s a known problem, several similar posts here. Hopefully, a fix is just around the corner but until then, to workaround, enable Cellular for Music and be sure to play only downloaded stuff when on the road.
