font color used in the Menu Bar

Hello:

How do I change the color of the font used in the top Menu Bar when running Big Sur (11.4)? When I am on the main desktop, the color of the font in the top Menu Bar is black (which is what I want). When I add a new desktop, the color of the font in the top Menu Bar is white and very difficult to read. When I add a third desktop, the color of the font in the top Menu Bar is also white but since the background color of the Menu Bar itself became slightly darker, the white font is easier to read.

This does not make much sense considering that I am using the same background picture (Big Sur Aerial) for all 3 desktops.

Is there a way to always have a black font for the top Menu Bar for all three desktops (i.e., as it was when running Catalina). I looked under View but did not see an option?

Thanks,

Laura

Set up the System/Accessibility/Display preference pane as shown here:

See if that won't keep the menu bar text black against a white background.

Hi Barney-15E:

Thanks for your quick reply. I followed your suggestions and change my desktop picture back and forth for my second desktop. The font color for desktop 2 did change to black (so much easier) when I change the picture back to BigSur Aerial. Interestingly, the font color for the Menu Bar on desktop 3 also change to black. Super happy. Many thanks again for pitching in. Super useful.
