Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I got a notification that my phone was found but I can’t track it . I got a notification

I lost a phone. And got a text that it was found. But now I can’t track it . And I only have 24hrs . Help!

Those texts are usually scams. Neither Apple nor law enforcement will send such a text.

If it asked you to sign in with your AppleID and password then you just allowed the finder to take off the Activation lock.

If that is what you did then

  1. Change your AppleID password while you can
  2. Accept your phone is gone forever.
