AFAIK, this promotion is only good if you made your purchase either directly from Apple or from an Apple Authorized Reseller. If you did so, at the latter, I suggest you contact them about eligibility for the promotion. Alternatively, you can contact Apple Support directly, using the "Get Support" link and they can direct you to someone that can answer your question.
