can I use my 2013 27 inch iMac as an extended monitor for my 24 inch M1 iMac?
Thanks for your prompt reply Jack. Would you happen to know if something like Luna or maybe a third party dock with video support would work. It is not a giant big deal for me but it would make my work flow better since I own the 27 inch as well. New iMac being delivered in August this year
Just a head's up: I ordered the purple iMac (with extended memory) and originally it said it would be delivered between 8/4-8/11, but it actually arrived 7/21. Make sure you keep checking the status and sign up for the notifications. It doesn't require a person to be present, so it will just be left on your front porch...
I recommend against third-party software for this, as they are extremely laggy, buggy, and never quite work well.
Sorry, no. Apple Silicon devices and macOS Big Sur are not compatible with Target Display Mode.
