Quick Start to transfer data from IPhone 6 to IPhone 12 mini not working

Hello,

I’ve had an iPhone 6 for quite a while now and recently purchased a brand new iPhone 12 mini. I wanted to transfer all the data wirelessly from the iPhone 6 with quick start, but I did not receive any option to do so. I chose the option to transfer the data from the old phone and after minutes of waiting, no animation appeared asking me to accept the transfer. I double checked that the iOS version above 11 (12.4 specifically) and that Bluetooth was turned on. I also tried restarting the iPhone 6 and resetting the quick start on the new iPhone. What is interesting is that the animation to transfer the data did appear on my friend’s iPhone (which is an iPhone SE). I’m really out of ideas here and would love to receive some ideas that would point me in the right direction.
