is it bad to have my macbook connected at all time?

I would like to know if it is bad for the battery of the MacBook pro to have it connected at all time.

I believe it is fine.

I keep my MacBook plugged into the power adapter whenever possible.

macOS Big Sur learns our usage pattern and optimizes battery health.

Based on my experience, when the battery is fully charged it will automatically switch the power source to the power adapter, so it will not drain the power from your battery.

Based on Prior Experience:

It may or may not affect it. For me, I always have it plugged in, when using it, and not plugged in when not using it. I've had this 5K Mac for 3 years - and never have I had any power issues(though all computers are always prone to failure). No: Do not charge it all night. If you have pets, then they may run around, or you may trip on it.
