On iPhone 11, is there a way to have my iPhone on, and the phone to be completely quiet and not sound alarms, notifications, alerts, etc.? This would be handy in church so I can look up scripture readings without disturbing others. I have tried the mute switch, the do not disturb, the volume control, etc. however, I still get sounds including alarms. What am I missing?

With Do Not Disturb on, the only sounds you should receive are alarms and emergency notifications. Everything else should be ignored. You should be then able to see the notification the next time you wake the screen.
