Apple Pencil is not responding properly

My Apple Pencil was working perfectly fine a few days ago, but now I can’t draw properly, swipe on my screen or text with the pen unless I push on the screen hard. It’s not procreate because it does it on the Home Screen as well. I’ve tried the auto zoom thing and that has not worked, does anyone have any ideas?

Before reaching for other explanations, ensure that the removable Pencil tip is firmly (but not too tightly) screwed into place. If only slightly loosened, this can impact sensitivity.

Has your Apple Pencil been dropped? If dropped on the Pencil tip, the delicate transducer may have suffered damage.
