I can’t log into my iMac I believe I remember the password but for some reason it won’t let me go through also after several attempts it still will not prompt me to reset my password

Try these steps to reset your user account password:
Once you are done, please get yourself an app such as 1Password (one of several password managers) and use it. We all have many logins and passwords to know and it impossible to stay secure without some type of management system! You can find several in the Mac App Store or using Google. Do searches for "password manager."
