Move your Photos library to save space on your Mac

Hi,

I have an M1 2021 iMac. There is advice in the Apple Support pages: "Move your Photos library to save space on your Mac"

If I move Photos to a remote HD, as in this article, is it backed up by Time Machine?

Also, if I move iMovie by following the guide in "Move your iMovie for Mac library". Is this also backed up by Time Machine?

Thanks for your time.

Yes, I have two external drives connected to my Mac: one contains my photolibrary, the other is my TimeMachine drive. Whenever TimeMachine makes a backup, it backups both my internal drive AND the drive containing my photolibrary

Thank you mulberry, but the Apple guide says: "You can store your library on an external storage device, such as a USB or Thunderbolt drive formatted as APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled). However, you can't move your library to a disk that's used for Time Machine backups."

So, moving Photos/iMovie to another Hard Drive NOT assigned for Time Machine data, will the photos and iMovies be backed up by Time Machine?
