Hi,
Our 2017 27inch iMac is failing to start. Upon turning on all I get is a black screen with 🚫. When trying to reinstall the operating system it does not give me any hard drives to select. In disk utility I get the below options (please see photos). I believe my only option left is to use recovery software to back up the data and erase and reinstall the operating system?
The Internal Drive is not Formatted and Partitioned correctly.

After a closer look at your third screenshot, it looks like you have/had a Fusion Drive and the Hard Drive part of the Fusion Drive has failed.
At this point I have to back track, to say that you need to Contact Apple Support or your local AASP and make a service appointment.
What macOS version are your running?
Make sure the the "View" option in Disk Utility is set to "Show All Devices." That will give us a better idea of how your hard drive is configured.
