Printer/scanner won't work with MacBook Air

Is there any hope for getting my Canon Pixma MG3100 series (actual mode #3122) to work with my brand new MacBook Air? Canon has no updated version available to help.

Have you updated the printer firmware for AirPrint.

After waiting for a very long time on hold with Cannon they worked it out I can print I haven't tried scanning yet but thank god it worked... took them some time but I am worried with all the new updates Apple about to send us that this may cause some issues as well have to wait and see how we go , agree Mac needs to be more compatible otherwise I will not be updating to Mac next time :-(
