My iPhone 10 was stolen then hacked last November (or October). I received no help in disabling the phone. I am in Mexico City. Phone stolen very near San Miguel de Allende. Ended up near Oaxaca. Hacker removed it from my account even though prior to this

Be VERY VERY wary of any messages purporting to be from Apple …
… it’s a common scam used by many thieves to break into your phone or AppleID.

If someone removed it from your account you fell for a scam message that said your phone had been found, and to click a link to enter your Apple ID and password to find it.
