My printer not connected, due to Control Center needing updated, it has been several weeks ago I updated to Big Sur from Catalina, now today printer will not print. My Control Center Icon has a (circle slash) on it.

The printer manufacturer's software won't be updated on its own. You need to go to your printer's support website and download/install a current driver and software.
