I upgraded my storage space tonight and about an hour after doing so and plugging my phone in to charge, my phone shut off on its own and will now not turn back on. It suggests I follow the website for support on "restoring" but even after following the instructions, still, all I see is the black screen and apple logo. It has not turned on since. Please help!

You cannot upgrade storage on the phone itself so that is probably coincidental.
see the process below, using the Update option if possible. Work all through it.
