Documents Folder

I just upgraded to BIG SUR. Where is the documents folder located on the MacBook Touch Pro, OCT 2018? There are 162 document folders, but none of them are “blessed” with the icon signifying that it is the actual folder for storing documents, and thereby available in iCloud.

Click on the apple icon ant the far top left of the screen ("Finder Preferences") and select the "Sidebar" tab from the options at the top of the menu that pops up. You can then click on any of the folders, drives, servers, etc you want to show up the sidebar of finder windows.

(Under the "general" tab you can opt to have new finder windows open directly to the Documents folder if you like)
