I understand that your iPad’s screen no longer rotates its contents when the device is rotated.

Is it possible that you have the Rotation Lock activated? Let’s double check that:

TOUCH & PULL DOWN from the TOP RIGHT CORNER of your iPad’s screen. This will display the CONTROL CENTER. Check to see whether Rotation Lock has been activated. If it is highlighted in white then it is activated. Tap on it and disable the rotation lock. See the Rotation Lock Button’s image below:
