Variations in Preinstalled Apps.

Do iPhones come with a variable set of preinstalled apps, out of the box?

My previous iPhone 8 Plus had keynote, numbers, pages, iMovies, iTunes U and Garage band by default.

My current iphone 12 has all these apps but that could be because I transferred the data from phone to phone while setting it up. I am not sure if Iphone 12 comes with the same set of apps. Tell me if it does.

Mr friends iphone 8 plus by default does not have any of the above apps and they need to be installed. Although we could still download those apps but I am curious to know about the reason behind this difference.

PS; All iphones were on the same iOS 14.7. Any pictures of the home screen pages with the default wikki be helpful.

Thanks

Thank you for the response. The issue is that they include all the free apple indigenous apps when writing the tech specs but in reality, most phones I have seen do not come preinstalled with all of those, for example, you don’t get trailers, support app by default.

Talking about iPhone 8 Plus, mine came with all the apps preinstalled while my friend had to install those separately.

Not sure if it depends on the model variant, US vs UK vs EU.
