A few things to try separately.

connect a USB mouse and see if it works ok.
clean the light sensor on the magic mouse and try again
reset Bluetooth module https://www.idownloadblog.com/2021/01/07/reset-bluetooth-mac-tutorial/
try restarting in safe mode

Thanks for the replies. It turned out the problem was because my mouse was on temper glass. Once I it a piece of paper between the mouse and glass, the mouse worked fine. Once again thank-you for your response.
