In Mail, when I start entering a name for an outgoing email, I'm given a "To" list of outdated addresses in a popup window, in addition to the current one. The old ones aren't in Contacts.
How can I delete the old addresses or prevent them from being shown to me?

While in Apple Mail >> Top Menu >> " Window " and pop down menu and look for " Previous Recipients ". The remove this offending ones.
