How do you change the default audio output settings

My default settings are set to use tv speakers and I want to schange that to be my receiver speakers


does anyone know to do this on a Apple TV 4K latest model?

For wired speakers, the Apple TV is supposed to be set to “(Default) Audio Output: TV speakers”, even if using a receiver, as that will output audio over HDMI. Next, set the TV to passthrough any audio from any input to the receiver.


The only supported other option at this time for Default Audio Output is HomePod (2018) speakers.
