Since it has been several years since I purchased a new iPhone, I wanted to inquire about the most reliable way to port all of the content from my old iPhone 8 to a new iPhone 13. Since I do not have enough back-up capacity on iCloud, in the past I relied on my phone back-up in Music (i.e. iTunes). Is there an alternative method of porting the content that is preferable?

Here are the various methods. Although Quick Start looks very convenient, I (who move to a new iPhone roughly annually) use the Music method you refer to. I find it thorough.

Thank you for the response. I just realized that I had previously purchased 200Gb of storage on iCloud. So porting my old iPhone's content to the new phone from iCloud is another option.
Yes, if you still have sufficient space on iCloud (you don’t “purchase” the space - you pay for it periodically like a subscription), that should work just fine.
