Ever since I updated my MacBook to Big Sur 11.6, my Safari keeps on crashing. It crashes when I rearrange my tabs. It doesn't crash every time, but it does very often. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

There have recently been many reports of new problems with Safari. It seems that the recent Safari update has issues. Word has it that Apple knows about the problems and is working on a fix. I assume that it will be released fairly soon. In the meantime, use another browser such as Firefox or Chrome and they should work for you.

Fatto l’aggiornamento a macOS Big Sur 11.6 un paio di giorni fa Safari si è bloccato(crash) e non sono riuscito più a farlo funzionare. Dopo aver consultato ed eseguito invano tutte le soluzioni Apple, stamani a malincuore ho deciso di reinstallare Big Sur!!! Avviato il Mac tutto è tornato a funzionare perfettamente…Safari compreso, se non che dopo un’oretta di navigazione all’improvviso è di nuovo andato in crash e di nuovo non si apre più! C’è una soluzione o devo usare altri browser? Grazie

When problems like that affect many devices, Apple fixes them quickly, I’m surprised they haven’t released a bug fix update yet.

I have the same issue too. Most happened when I opened a new tab and was about to move the tab.

I just upgraded to 11.6. Safari almost launches and then crashes as the window starts to open. Macbook Pro 2016.
I have the same problem as you .... Safari crashes and won't open anymore. I have installed Big Sur again but ... after an hour of regular operation, it went freeze again and does not open again !!!

The problem with Safari, I don't know how, was solved by itself!!!
