Desktop folder is in iCloud? Can't move it back

This is a really strange one. I just noticed that there are two folders which usually reside here: HD > User


Desktop

Documents


...but they are currently located within my iCloud folder.


I have absolutely no idea how they ended up there, but I cannot move them back because I get a white icon: a circle with a diagonal line.


New MacBook Air using Big Sur v11.6 - bought in May 2021


Any ideas?
